GETTING TO KNOW DCTAG
Many student athletes can receive the benefits of both the DCTAG Award as well as their Athletic Grant-In-Aid Award. In some instances, however, the Athletic Grant-In-Aid Award may have to be reduced to reflect the impact of the maximum DCTAG Award. Specific information will have to be obtained from an individual student’s college or university financial aid office.
The DCSAA is committed to providing District student athletes with the necessary information to assist with their college preparedness. We offer school workshops upon request and are also available to answer any questions that arise.
The school year might just be starting, but the countdown is on for seniors to begin putting together their college application materials. We’ve partnered with Livius Tutoring to bring all students at DCSAA schools and any of our followers a FREE college essay prep program. The class for rising seniors starts Thursday, 9/3, so click the link below to register today. This is an invaluable FREE resource that you don’t want to miss.
You can also find free SAT & ACT test prep classes and a college essay prep class for 10th & 11th graders too.

STUDENT-ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIPS
The DCSAA is committed to encouraging excellence in both academics and athletics. It is for this reason that the Student Athlete Academic Scholarship Program was initiated. This year we are proud to announce that scholarships will be fully sponsored by United Bank, The Community Bank of the Nation’s Capital. Each $1,000 scholarship recognizes the distinguished academic, leadership and sportsmanship achievements of District of Columbia high school student athletes and the positive influence of athletics in each student’s life.
